The History of Vetus Novus

In 1856 the first Concilium was formed and the borders of our beautiful country were defined. This was deemed necessary by the inhabitants of what is now Vetus Novus since our neighbouring countries were rapidly expanding. Before this every city had its own rulers. The city of Loci became our official capitol in 1856 and statues of the first Concilium were erected there.

The first Concilium consisted of some of the most wealthy and influential people of the region, skilled in finance, social welfare and political affairs. It is however important to note that they were not chosen for this and that this type of council didn’t have the structure of today. six people at once seized the power of Vetus Novus, two women and four men. Today the Concilium only consists of four people, and the gender equality act (passed in 1895) made sure that women have an equal part in the Concilium. The people they chose to help them were named inferiors. In former days there was no fixed number, but now there are nine inferiors who take care of different aspects of our country.

In 1905 our rulers signed an agreement to join the UBN, as this would benefit not only our country, but also the rest of our world.
